Hi all: Well, things have been crazy. Husband has worked eighty hour weeks because his assistant is on vacation and they don't have enough managers to cover all the shifts. He offically got promoted so now he is the boss of his own store much to the consternation of some of his employies. I'm happy for him, but Caitlyn and i miss him. I filled out my FaFSa and I hope i will get some money so I can go to college this august. I haven't regestered yet but I'm sure I'll get my regestration packet soon. I' a little worried though. I'm majoring in music education, and as a totally blind person who can play the piano by reading music if I have the chance to memorize it, but other than that I suck at the piano, wel, I'm nervious. The music braille code is hard, writting it isn't hard, reading it mostly isn't hard except really difficult peaces. Its analyzing music peaces and writting down the answers for a sighted person to understand that is hard. I want to keep music education as my major, but I don't wantto end up in the situation that I was in before where things got really hard and I didn't do so well, for you sighted people, if you have a three or four page peace of music it ccan be eight to ten pages maybe even more, depending on the peace of music. The problem I have with analyzing music is I don't see everything at once like one would if they were looking at the music so I don't see how everything fits together. Then you have to mark where keys change, sequences, and all this other stuff that I won't go into. The point is, I don't want to go into it and then fail again. I made it through a year and a half of theory before I quit because I had an unhelpfull teacher and I was frustrated. IIf I can't continuing majoring in music ed I will teach something else, but music ed has always been my dream. I only hope something will work out. Caitlyn is doing well, she is growing more and more each day. she rolled over by herself for the first time yesterday. she hasn't done it again, but maybe she will son. Ireland is good. We took her with us out yesterday now that my husband has cleaned his car, and she did well. Since only two people read this, or if more do they don't coment, I'll say thinks to the two who do leave coments. I will write soon when something exciting happens. lol Current Mood: worried

Hi: Caitlyn did something for the first time today. She has a toy called a kick and ploay, You lay her in it and it has a fish, a miror, and anotherfish with a button on it that when you push it it plays music, there is a ball by the fet to kick at. She pushed the button forthe first time, it actually startled me when she did it and she did it twice. As for the college thing it isn't learning I have trouble with it is that not many totally blind people have majored in music education and been successfull because most can't read music. I can read most of it, but reading it with your fingers is way different then seeing it with your eyes, as a sighted person you can read ahead and see paterns and with braille you can't the proffesors don't know how to work with someone who can't see, and some, don't want to accomidate me even though they have to or they just don't know how or aren't willing to work with me. It's frustrating. Caitlyn hasn't rolled over again yet, but hopefully she will soon.
